The program
Unique Portugal is a mix of cultural and business activities focused in improving your network.
Each edition will be tailor-made to the visiting delegation, there will never be two programs alike each other.
To better know the products and services that Portugal has to offer, Unique Portugal will promote a series of cultural activities, an immersive experience that you can't miss!
Cultural activities
There are so many places and experiences to uncover in Portugal.
The cultural activities will be tailored to fit the route determined but the business interests of the delegation participating and so below you can see some examples of things to do but there are many more to discover.
Culture is important, yes, but business is the key.
Olive Oil Mill
Participants will learn to distinguish different categories of olive oil: refined olive oil, virgin olive oil and extra virgin olive oil. Then, we will also hold an olive oil tasting session.
Lisbon Heritage
Visit to Belém Tower, Padrão dos Descobrimentos and Jerónimos Monastery, finishing up with a tasting of Pastel de Belém, the portuguese iconic cake.
Fado Performance
Fado was considered by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, as Portugal
and Lisbon’s urban identity symbol.
The word “fado” originates from the Latin fatum, meaning “destiny”.
Visit to Fátima
The Shrine of Fátima received three Golden Roses, a distinction which Popes confer to personalities, shrines,
churches or cities as a token of
recognition or a reward for noticeable services provided to the Church or achieved for the benefit of the society.
Coimbra Heritage
Visit to Joanina Library, recognized as one of the most original European Baroque libraries and to University of Coimbra that houses a majestic Baroque Portal dating from 1713. With a passage by Quinta das Lágrimas where one of the great love stories of all times took place.
Ovos Moles tasting
The nuns originally used the
egg whites to iron their cloaks,
while the yolks were used for the
manufacture of convent sweets.
This is the first certified Convent Confectionery product in the European Community Area.
Vista Alegre
Besides visiting the Museum, participantes will take part of a painting workshop at the Factory, and ceramic painting workshop. This is an opportunity to get started in the art of ceramic decoration, learning basic skills of brush painting, under the supervision of specialized Vista Alegre painters.
Port Wine tasting
Filigree is an ornamental work made of very thin gold threads and small metal balls, welded to form a lacy design.
Its artisanal production is practiced in small family workshops, using techniques passed down from generation to generation.
Business Activities
In 5 days Unique Portugal will promote a tailor-made program travelling 2/3 of Portugal to meet businesspeople from all the different regions and promoting business in all the places that will be visited.
The networkimg events combined with company visits, will promote business opportunities for all participants, as business is the focus of Unique Portugal.
