Graduated in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of Porto, Rui Sá Morais also completed the Postgraduate Course in Business Finance at Lusíada University.
Professionally, he collaborated, in the area of Project Analysis, to the company Morais and Morais - Accounting and Audit, Lda, between 1998 and 2013.
In 2001, he joined the TMG group (Textile Manuel Gonçalves) where he held, at TMG Automotive, the functions of Financial Manager. He also performed functions of Financial Adviser in companies owned by the TMG Group, such as Helisuporte, Heliportugal, TTC Aviation, Casa Agrícola de Compostela, Caves Transmontanas and CVQ - Distribution and Trade of Beverages, also performing controller functions in the Knitwear Unit of Manuel Gonçalves Textile, S.A. of the TMG Group, accumulated with the role of responsible for the Logistics Department.
Between 2000 and 2001, he worked at Sporting Clube de Braga, as an Economist, integrated in the Finance Department (through this club, he held the same roles at Sporting Clube de Braga - Futebol, S.A.D. and Investibtaga - Investimentos Imobiliários, S.A.).
He took office as Executive Director of AGERE - Empresa de Águas, Efluentes e Resíduos de Braga, EM, on November 15, 2013, a position he held until December 31, 2017.
On March 3, 2015, he was appointed Non-Executive Director of SGEB - Sociedade Gestora de Equipamentos de Braga S.A.
Since January 1, 2018 he is the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGERE, as well as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Braval – Valorization and Treatment of Solid Waste, S.A., a company that makes the recovery and treatment of solid waste, in Baixo Cávado.
