Graduated in Art History from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto, she has about 30 years dedicated to associativism and civic intervention. She has won numerous awards and distinctions at national and international level. She is also the founder and co-founder of several solidarity projects such as: MLA project "Rays of Sun" (support for families and children at risk); project "JR" Restorative Justice (APC - families and minors). 
In 2014 he founded the MLA – Lírio Azul Movement. This civic movement is today represented in more than 40 municipalities in Portugal and also across borders, namely in the PALOP. Founded, managed and promoted by women (but open to all), it is a success story. The founding pillars of the MLA are: Solidarity, Equity, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
She is also the founder of the MLA PROJECT "NO BLAH BLAH", developed in partnership with AIMMP - Association of the Wood and Furniture Industry of Portugal, focused on: Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Communication and Marketing.
She is the Godmother and the face of various institutions and collectivities, as well as solidarity campaigns.

Some of the positions she currently holds: 

  • Member of the Advisory Board of MEL – Lusophone Women Entrepreneurs;

  • National Coordinator of the Fight Against Poverty and Social Exclusion at the Portuguese Foundation "The Community Against AIDS";

  • Ambassador of Peace for the Women's Federation for World Peace; 

  • President of PATRIPOVE - Association for the Defense and Consolidation of Poveiro Heritage;

  • Member of the Advisory Board of the Portuguese Association of Criminology.
