Born on June 30, 1955, Jorge Pais has a degree in Law by the Faculty of Law of Lisbon. He is then a lawyer, consultant in several companies and an entrepreneur.
Some positions he holds:

• President of NERPOR-AE – Business Association of the Region of Portalegre

• Vice-President of CIP – Business Confederation of Portugal

• Vice-President of the Executive Committee of AIP – Portuguese Industrial Association

• Vice-President of AICO – Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce

• Chairman of the Fiscal Council of CE-CPLP - Business Confederation of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries

• Head of the Africa Invest Corporation Fund for all CPLP Countries

• Member of the EBCAM Council – European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean

• Chairman of the Fiscal Council of ADRAL – Alentejo Regional Development Agency
